After his first Michelin-star recognition at the historic Tavares restaurant, and before his also-starred Belcanto, chef José Avillez decided to open his own little spot in 2011, where he could present a simpler and more varied cuisine, without losing the expected touch of sophistication. The result is this small, welcoming and informal place, with a long bar counter and a décor featuring vintage tiles and lighting. It was here that the chef's famous hazelnut dessert, "avelã3," was first served.
