Squid, the owner, is a Manly legend and ever-evolving coffee lover who knows that ‘a rolling stone gathers no moss.’ He’s one of the most enthusiastic coffee people ever, and the head barista, Fergus, has brought the place to a level never seen before in Manly. Using Marvell Street coffee from Byron Bay, they serve up seriously tasty brews. Grab a filter coffee and a handmade waffle—they imported a special waffle iron from Belgium that melts the sugar evenly in the middle. They have plain waffles and one with melted milk chocolate ladled over the top. You can add Thai caramel sauce or ice cream if you’re keen to get really decadent.
