The remains of a three-storey-high castle keep and modern museum. Built in 1186 by Robert de Lacy, the Norman keep of the castle is reputed to be the second smallest in England. There is free access to the grounds and a small fee for the museum, with excellent views of the surrounding area. There are many shops, cafes, bars/restaurants on the high street.
Nice walk up to the Castle, free to walk around, great views from the top. Nice cafe too
