Stunning Botanic Gardens - don't miss out on the Rose Gardens and Picnic Cafe on a sunny day. Catch the Cable Car up from Lambton Quay or go the other way via bus #8 from Courtenay Place.
Why not catch the Cable Car up from Wellington City to go exploring in the glorious Wellington Botanic Gardens. Different areas within the Gardens allow for a historic exploration between flora and fauna. There is a cafe at the Rose Gardens and the smell from this area is diviine for Rose lovers
The Wellington Botanic Garden in Wellington, New Zealand, covers 25 hectares of land on the side of the hill between Thorndon and Kelburn, near central Wellington. The garden features 25 hectares of protected native forest, conifers, plant collections and seasonal displays. There is also a lovely cafe called picnic cafe amoung the gardens. The Thorndon entrance is a 15 min walk or a 3 min drive with free 2 hour parking.
