The Museum preserves the historic 1793 structure and interprets the life of Mary Young Pickersgill, a nineteenth-century female entrepreneur and craftswoman of the flag that inspired the National Anthem.

Home of Mary Pickersgill, where she sewed the 15-star/15-stripe Star Spangled Banner (Great Garrison Flag) which flew over Fort McHenry during the Battle of Baltimore in the War of 1812
