Conkle's Hollow features two trails. Gorge Trail, which follows the bottom to a waterfall. And the Rim Trial, which circles high above the gorge. Beautiful views of the Hocking Hills. *Rim Trail is not recommended for small children.

Conkle's Hollow, situated off S.R. 374 on Big Pine Road is a rugged, rocky gorge - considered one of the deepest in Ohio. The valley floor is a veritable wilderness covered by a profusion of ferns and wildflowers while hemlock, birch and other hardwood tower overhead. The growth is so thick in places that little or no sunlight reaches the deep valley floor.

Great rock formations and one very easy gorge trail and a more challenging rim trail.

This is our favorite hike in the area! The rim trail views are outstanding! Take the gorge trail for an easy 1/4 mile paved hike.

Excellent place to hike as a family. As a family I enjoy the lower path, it is paved and pretty mild. There are beautiful rock faces, alot of ferns, a few cave features and at the end is a small waterfall/water pool (depending on rainfall). The upper rim is an entirely different experience that I myself have not tried and probably never will.
