Have fun at Mackays Wakeboarding and kneeboarding water park. There is a busy little café serving good food with the view over the park.

Cable wakeboarding is simply wakeboarding while being pulled not by a boat, but by an overhead cableski system. definitely the coolest addition to the distinguished list of action sports throughout the world, because it combines the best of the extreme nature of wakeboarding without the need for (or expense of) a boat.

Best time to go here if you can is in the middle of the day until about 3pm Monday to Friday. Some days you can get the lake to yourself almost! Otherwise there are classes to learn on the weekends you can book into if you prefer. The staff are super friendly and very helpful so don't be afraid to ask for help when learning or just ask for other things to do around the region. They all love wakeboarding! PS. BEST BURGERS AND CHIPS IN MACKAY. And they serve Tim Adams speciality coffee, craft beer + cider too, your welcome to go watch and just eat at the cafe.
