Burlock

This is a one for rum lovers like me. There are more than 200 types of it down in this cavernous basement space in Marylebone. It takes its cue from Prohibition-era Havana, when the American party set would jump on flying boats from Florida to drink and dance all night. It’s open until 3 am, and the daiquiris are almost certainly just as good if not better today. This is the only place I know that has a rolling happy hour. There’s always one drink on at a happy hour price, and it changes every couple of hours. But unlike a normal happy hour, it lasts all night, so check the big blackboard and find out what’s on offer. Probably rum.
