A hidden gem- where the Atlantic and Caribbean Sea meet. A small beach with swimming and snorkeling - you will need to bring everything with you-search for details on how to get here or just ask us or a local.
A good 30 minute drive but well worth it! You'll need to check in at the gate at Botany Bay and either walk to take the shuttle which runs in the am, at noon and around 4pm....you can either visit the infamous mermaid chair or sandy beach -- either are spectacular! Not many folks make it out here - a hidden treasure.

Mermaid’s Chair is one of the best-kept secrets is that it’s hard to find if you don’t know what you’re looking for. During low tide, on the western side of the island, a unique strip of double beach creates a divide between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. To get the strip, you’ll need to park your vehicle at the Preserve at Botany Bay, and journey by foot to the beach. Be prepared for a 1.45-mile walk, which can be quite challenging at times.
