In 1898 the Americans built a small fort near the Spanish Guánica lighthouse and named it Fort Capron, in memory of Captain Allyn K. Capron, who died in Cuba during the Spanish-American War. This fort has a SPECTACULAR VIEW of the entire bay and urban area of Guánica. The photos will be beautiful, this fort full of history you must visit. Now, you must be ready to walk about 40 minutes to go up to the place. We recommend going prepared with water and visiting it for the day, wearing tennis shoes and comfortable clothes. 31 minutes to the parking then 40 minutes walking distance
