This quaint museum was established in 1962 and is the only remaining full time public museum in Del Rio. Come take a step back in time and learn about the early history, culture, and economics of our town.
Historical Del Rio building and grounds is home to the ‘museum’. Local events and holidays are often celebrated here. The many exhibits on the grounds depict the unique history of the City of Del Rio and Val Verde County. Judge Roy Bean, Langtry Texas’ Law west of the Pecos, is buried on the property, at a replica of his saloon, ‘The Jersey Lilly’ named for the famed star of the times.
