A place of outstanding natural beauty around the Northumberland coastline. There are also a number of National Trust properties to visit, Cragside, Wallington and Lindisfarne.

Stunning coastline, wide sandy beaches, dunes, numerous castles. Visit Craster for crab sandwiches, Seahouses for fish and chips, Blyth for ice cream. Bamburgh Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle, Warkworth Castle, Tynemouth Priory and beaches

For walkers of all levels, picking pretty much any point on the coastline gives plenty of opportunity. There is a good bus service from Alnwick (inc. just off Bridge St) which visits many of the smaller villages, so you can pick one and ride there and walk back and vice versa.

Within an hour you can be on our beautiful coast line. Beadnell, Amble, Alnmouth, Seahouses to name a few places are well worth a visit.

The coast is beautiful, quiet, peaceful and a must sea. Tynemouth has a surfing lessons you can book on the day and great cafes, further up are deserted beaches with miles of gorgeous walks
