The Ferry is a great way to visit another local beach town Exmouth. The ferry runs from April to October
A friendly little ferry takes you across the estuary to Exmouth. Either come back the same way or get the train back.
The Exmouth to Starcross Ferry is a passenger ferry which crosses the mouth of the River Exe in the English county of Devon. It links the town of Exmouth on the eastern side of the Exe estuary to the village of Starcross on the western side.
Great ferry crossing to beautiful Exmouth! Park at Starcross train station and go across. Bikes can also be taken on board.
Fancy a day out on the bikes why not try the wonderful Exe-Estuary cycle route. The route follows both sides of the River Exe Estuary, linking the seaside resort of Dawlish Warren to Exmouth passing through the pretty villages of Starcross, Topsham and Lympstone to name a few. The route is fairly flat and offers fantastic river and estuary views. Distance of the cycle is 22.5 miles and will roughly take 2 hrs. Recommended pubs to stop at: - Starcross: The Atmospheric Railway Inn - Exeter (quay): Prospect, Rockfish, Waterfront, Samuel Jones. - Topsham: The Lighter, The Passage, The globe. - Lympstone: The Swan Inn, The Globe Inn
