One of the earliest settled continually operated farming estates in Tasmania, still farmed by the seventh generation of the Archer Family. Brickendon provides a window into the lives of the early male assigned convicts and the Archer Family. One can enjoy a self guided walk around the property, and feed the animals. There is also a peaceful 45 minute walk between Woolmers and Brickendon Estates.

Brickendon Estate is a working farm, still held by the Archer Family. Originally settled in 1824 by William Archer, the farm has been continuously operated and lived on by his direct descendents, now in their 7th generation. Brickendon has a strong convict connection and a visit to the estate will give you an idea of what life was like for convict workers in 1800's colonial Australia.
