Prescott is the Yavapai County seat and the courthouse square is a primary attraction for locals as well as tourists.
The heart of downtown. Art/craft fairs held here often on weekends. Live music and events often take place here. Surrounded by restaurants, bars, antique shops, and souvenir shops. If you have dogs, and welcomed place for dog walking.
The Courthouse Square and Downtown Whiskey Row have lots of little antique and vintage shops, jewelry stores, western apparel, momentos, bookstores, eateries and saloons. Often there are events happening on the lawn of the Courthouse. There are over 800 buildings in Prescott on the National Register of Historic Places!
Known as the "jewel" of downtown Prescott, Arizona, the Yavapai County Courthouse Plaza is a majestic, man-made urban forest in the heart of a historic commercial district. For more than 140 years it has served as a gathering place for celebrations, commemorations, campaign kick-offs, concerts, movies, and festivals.
