A quirky and unique little gem, this is the oldest purpose-built museum in Norfolk and houses the finest seashell collection in the UK. As well as thousands of exquisite seashells, the Museum also contains fossils, birds' eggs, pottery and local archaeological finds. There is a lovely walk here from Bayfield Hall, through the water meadows., crossing the Glaven at the picturesque ford, complete with wild ducks and foot bridge. Stop off afterwards for lunch or coffee and cakes at The Art Cafe, which is very close by. Museum opening hours: (from Easter Saturday until the end of October) Open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4.30pm Closed Sundays and Mondays
