This is the site where Buddy Holly’s plane crashed many years ago and people walk down the grass Lane to see the site. It is something unique about Clear Lake if that sort of thing interests you!

Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper had their last concert at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake. Their plane crashed not long after liftoff in a bad snow storm. Be prepared you'll have to drive on a gravel road to visit.
