Holetown is a bus ride away, and will take you to an enclave of upscale stores and boutiques, nice beaches, and groovy places to hang out and party! Ride by Sandy lane on your way there! Is...that...Ri-Ri...I...see...? LOL
Head to Holetown for food shopping and more beaches. For food shopping - head to the large Massy supermarket. I would say it's the best place to get all your essentials whilst on the island. As you would have discovered by now - Barbados isn't cheap! Shopping for local products does help - both for fresh and packaged produced. Holetown has a lot to offer both in the day and in the evening. In the daytime you can pick and choose from several beaches along the platinum coast. The calmer waters also means it’s a great place to go paddle boarding. In the evening there’s also a nice collection of bars and restaurants to choose from.
The calm beach at Holetown makes it ideal for swimming. In the evening, this coast opens up to a window of a stunning sunset. Holetown Festival is held here each February and features lots of local music, street parades, arts and crafts and Grand Floodlit Tattoo. Dance the night away in First and Second streets in Holetown. Also enjoy dining at various restaurants with cuisine ranging from local & Caribbean to Italian. There's also beachfront dining at Zaccios, Tides, The Beach House & Drift Ocean Terrace Lounge.
