Therfield - 20 minute drive. You can choose to dine simply or take the menu up a notch as there are options for all comers. The food here is imaginative and will definitely tempt you to try new tastes/combinations. Desserts are delicious

Award winning gastropub - amazing Sunday lunches (although make sure you book). A 10 minute drive, or an hour's walk in the summer.
