This is a rustic place to shop, but from the foreigner point of view, it is different & good. A memorable place to see Indian lifestyle.

A Must go - many Indian markets are beautiful but I feel this one is very special. Fish at the entrance - freshly brought every morning, to the glorious guirlands of flower at the end. A wonder, just go and hunt for a treasure to bring back home.

Known throughout Pondicherry, a big indoor market in the Tamil quarter taking up a whole block. A fixture of Pondicherry you can find anything you want from fruits, vegetables, fish, flowers and household goods. It is open every day til late and is also a good place to capture the local colours
