Behind the Dardanelle Community Center is the wonderful Merritt Walking Trail and wildlife reserve. You may see beavers, geese, turtles, water snakes, migrating and native birds, catfish, etc. The connected park also has a playground, skatepark, basketball and tennis courts, baseball diamonds, picnic areas, and more.
