This is a museum with a difference !! It's not fusty or static, but a hive of activity. There regularly seems to be something happening here. From community choirs to exhibitions about the history of the city. Preston has been a place which has spawned many new inventions. It was central to the wool trade and at one time was the richest borough in England. It has been voted the second best place in the country to live and feels like a city on the way up.
