One of the least visited National Parks. Known for hiking, paddling, and wildlife. Many say you need a week on the island if you are going to visit, though day trips are available aboard the Isle Royale Queen IV out of Copper Harbor.
If you’re here to a while, you must go. The ferry is a 6 hours ride from Houghton so, if you’ve got the means, take the seaplane.
Closest National Park, and an uncommonly remote one! Transport to the Island via the Ranger boat in Houghton at the Isle Royale national park visitor's office or the Isle Royale Queen in Copper Harbor. Adventurous and time-crunched guests may also book a flight via seaplane.
