Castle lane, Keswick, CA12 4RN The stone circle at Castlerigg is situated near Keswick in Cumbria, North West England. It was constructed during the Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Ages and considered to bemone of the most visually impressive prehistoric monuments in Britain.

A little further away near Keswick, but worth the trip to see the ancient stone circle we named your room after !

Castlerigg is perhaps the most atmospheric and dramatically sited of all British stone circles, with panoramic views and the mountains of Helvellyn and High Seat as a backdrop. It is also among the earliest British circles, raised in about 3000 BC during the Neolithic period.
