If WW2 has your interest a visit to East Kirkby is a must. You can spend several hours here experiencing the exhibits, possibly seeing the LancasterJust Jane taxying, and have some home-cooked food in the Naafi. They also hold events regularly from 1940's nights to tank or air displays. An ex-RAF site many wartime buildings are still intact including the control tower.
