Nice selection of gins. Decent pub food and nice beer garden at the bottom of Barrow.

You can walk here (1 mile) through the woods from the cottage. Good pub food with lots of outside seating in the warmer weather. Dog friendly.

Two lovely bar areas, great food and outside seating. this is a very popular pub and is only 2 minutes walk from Oakside Cottage.
