I mean…just look at the photo! (Fun Fact! It’s actually the tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi) The walk to the falls is flat and beautiful - perfect for kids of all ages (strollers included!) and pets. There are trails off of the main trail which make for a great hike if you’re looking for more of a workout!
There is more to see here than just the magnificent falls. The park has a swimming area, picnic tables, pavilions, and a band shell for live music in the summer.
Beautiful path that leads to the Falls primarily flat and easy for walking. Lakeshore for swimming and playground, boating and music scene. Steeper hiking trail around the rim of the gorge for the adventurous.
This park on Cayuga Lake is the best for picnics, swimming and boating. There is a trail leading to the bottom of the spectacular waterfall.
Taughannock Falls plunges 215 feet past rocky cliffs that tower nearly 400 feet above the gorge. Gorge and rim trails offer spectacular views from above the falls and from below at the end of the gorge trail. Campsites and cabins overlook Cayuga Lake, with marina, boat launch and beach nearby. A multi-use trail--hiking, cross-country skiing--winds past sledding slopes and natural skating ponds. (located in Trumansburg)
