This breathtaking part of the island is a bit of a drive to get to (about 2 hours), but totally worth it! The cliffs there are like no other part of the island, and the drive itself is gorgeous. There is a lookout at the top of the valley and a switchback trail that will take you down to the beach (this beach has a heavy undertow and is not great for swimming but it is beautiful). There are also trails leading to more valleys that can take you as far as you dare hike, but it is very steep and can be dangerous during heavy rain.

Such an amazing hike. Relatively easy and the views are breathtaking. Stop in Hawi for lunch after.
An easy hike down to a valley with a beach, rope swings and a river running into the ocean. Located up north in Hawi.
