My favourite Indian restaurant. You can’t book. Just turn up but be prepared to queue at busy times. I’d recommend lunchtime midweek. It’s more of an Indian tapas so order 2/3 dishes.
Classic Indian dishes served tapas style. A friend once said this was as close to his moms home cooking your going to get in a Restaurant. Having tried both I agree with him.
Great option if Mother India (Westminster Terrace) is booked. No table reservations here - so just turn up and I'm sure you'll not have to wait long if there isn't a table available when you arrive.
Mother India Cafe is the place to go for a curry in Glasgow, they serve tapas size dishes, ideal for sharing. Most Glaswegians would agree on that even if they can't agree on football. It is situated right by the Kelvingrove Museum and marks the start of the Finnieston area where you will find the newest and hippest establishments. So yes, it is a good spot to start the evening then wander down Argyle street to discover more. 15 min walk or £4 in a Taxi.
