Frampton Marsh Frampton Marsh is a nature reserve which lies to the east of the village. Part of the marsh belongs to the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust; the majority being owned by the RSPB and being designated RSPB Frampton Marsh. It is a Ramsar site, and the whole of The Wash area is a designated Special Protection Area
Blessed with a variety of freshwater habitats, Frampton Marsh provides close views of the abundant birdlife of The Wash, one of Europe's most special places for wildlife. Avocets, redshanks, skylarks and whimbrels can all be seen in summer, with thousands of ducks gathering on the freshwater scrapes in winter.
