The Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park is a 15-acre, waterfront historical attraction, where visitors can learn about the first Spanish settlers who came here in the 1600s and the native Timucuans who were here to greet them. With a working archaeological dig on site, as well as several re-created Spanish and Timucuan buildings and dwellings, the park is bursting with history.

The grounds of the Fountain of Youth are spectacular. Wild peacocks roam the beautiful, expansive area, while little vignettes of history allow you to visit a Native American village, a Franciscan monk, and see a live cannon firing and other weapons demonstrations. There's even a planetarium! Of course, you can try the water, pretty sulfuric taste, but it's cheaper than Botox! You'll get much tastier fare at the Five Flags Cafe, located just outside the entrance. They have delicious food and even beer and wine!
