This is a great place to stop for some lunch! Their wines are my absolute favorite around the lake, as well. Open Mon-Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 11am-6pm. No reservations needed.

The best sparkling and the best tawny port wines. Has restaurant on site and gift shop. Has a great garlic festival 1st weekend in Aug. every year.

This award winner is only a 25 minute drive from the mansion, and my last guests are actually wine club members and highly recommend it. I believe they pay around $60 per month for two selections of wine and then the winery hosts them at food events for free. Sounded like a wonderful idea to me.
