Loftus is one of the oldest stadiums in South Africa and has been used for major sporting events since 1903. Loftus Versfeld has undergone many renovations and it is used for both rugby and football matches. It is home to one of the country's top rugby teams, the Blue Bulls.
The stadium is the home ground of the Bulls franchise of the Super Rugby tournament and the Blue Bulls union in South Africa's Currie Cup. In June 2010, the stadium hosted opening round games and one game of the round of 16 of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Loftus Versfeld Stadium is a rugby and football stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 51,762. The stadium has hosted musical events including concerts by UB40, Robbie Williams and Celine Dion.
