Our iconic hotel has played host to US presidents, legendary artists, and Prohibition mobsters like Al Capone. We're home to The Rathskeller – a favorite haunt of The Great Gatsby author F. Scott Fitzgerald. World-class bourbon awaits at The Old Seelbach Bar! What's Included 15% Off Appetizer
According to legend, this is where F. Scott Fitzgerald finished writing the Great Gatsby.
The bar is a 1920's authentically restored bar and eatery featuring an expansive bourbon collection. Cocktails are made from Kentucky limestone water dispensed from old-fashioned seltzer bottles. The expansive mahogany bar is comfortable and the bartenders provide excellent customer service. The bourbon collection was huge and priced from reasonable to a shot for $200 plus! The Old Seelbach Bar feels like stepping into a scene from The Great Gatsby --many scenes in the movie were actually filmed at the Seelbach , which is fitting since the Seelbach Hotel literally served as inspiration for F. Scott Fitzgerald’s masterpiece.
