Every Thursday, there’s an organized group ride, called the Palmer Park Ride. The park is in one of the most beautiful and historic neighborhoods in the city. It was almost shut down recently, but local volunteers cleaned it up and cleared out miles of trails. I go on this ride whenever I get a chance. There’s a historic log cabin in the park that’s been around since 1887.

Beautiful and historic park in north Woodward area of Detroit. Home to “Hotter Than July” Black LGBTQ Pride, and a well known cruising spot
Gorgeous park! Has a fountain that is always off, fun play areas, trees, fields, perfect for walking or biking through.
I ride my bike here during lunch when in town. They have nice picnic areas, bike & walking trails, tennis & basketball courts.
