Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is 50 minutes away by car and offers 100 miles of hiking trails leading to waterfalls, beaches, forest wilderness and breathtaking cliff-top views of Lake Superior. Tour Boat rides or kayaking trips available.
A day trip to Munising to visit this National Lakeshore is well worth the trip! See some of the most spectacular views Lake Superior has to offer. You can stop at the National Park office when you get to Munising for maps and suggestions for hiking. If hiking is not your thing, taking a boat cruise or kayaking along the cliffs is also amazing. If you do head to Munising, be sure to stop in Falling Rock Cafe for some coffee and ice cream, browse the wonderful selection of new and used books they have. They have frequent local live music as well!
