Wine is the culture of the Adelaide Hills! There are several wineries within a 10 minute radius of the cottage. Check out Nepenthe Winery for great sparkling wine and whites.

Very nice dog friendly wineary. $10/person for testing but redeemable on purchase. The staff member is very friendly and knowledgable. Good place to visit and score some nice wine as well! We've been twice now, and both times we met different lovely staff who are clearly passionate about wine. Everything they offer is fantastic for the price, the location is stunning and the cellar door is bright and clean. Great experience! The drive from Hahndorf into the winery is incredibly scenic. At the cellar shop you can build your own picnic hamper from selection of wines, cheeses, chocolates, crackers, wooden boards, picnic rug & more - everything you need for a picnic is there. We found this to be a very organised and convenient arrangement. Everything was delicious - artisan quality & reasonably priced. Needless to say their wines are fantastic, especially desert wine. You can picnic on their lawns enjoying picturesque views of the vineyard. They have benches as well as lounger chairs - very comfortable seating arrangements. Service was good. Overall we had a great time and will be back.
