Right net door to Puddleduck Valley, Dunsland is a National Trust park with around 100 acres of land to explore. Once the site of Dunsland House, the manor house burnt t the ground in the 1960s after a fire. In the park are a few interesting points such as the medieval Cadiho well, the huge old trees & bee hives.
Tranquil, ancient parkland once befitting the grand house that stood in its midst. The park is home to a variety of trees, including 700 year-old sweet chestnuts and old fruit trees, such as Landkey Yellow, Listener, Johnny Voun and Devon Quarrendon. The trees in the park support many rare lichens and provide a rich habitat for wildlife. www.nationaltrust.org.uk/heddon-valley/features/woodland-and-unusual-trees-of-north-devon
