If you love Japanese culture, colours and blooming flowers you can find all this and more in the peaceful Johnston Gardens. The gardens have won the prestigious Britain in Bloom award numerous times and feature a stunning waterfall, glistening streams, and a rustic bridge that make for a perfect outing with friends and family.
Bordering the property to the back is the beautiful Johnson Gardens. The one hectare site was gifted to the City in 1936 and has streams, waterfalls, ponds, rockeries and rustic bridge. The garden is planted with rhododendrons, spring bulbs, heathers and alpines. And the ponds are full of irises and home to a number of aylesbury, mallard and muscovy ducks.
Beautiful garden with lakes, benches and ducks just 2 min away from the flat. Also a great starting point for a 3.2 miles (return) walk/run all the way to Hazlehead park along the river.
My favourite gardens within Aberdeen. This beautiful landscaped garden boasts streams, ponds, waterfalls, rockeries and a picturesque bridge that has featured in many wedding photos over the years! There is also a children’s play area and toilet facilities.
