The bike and hike trail winds through Park City, then goes under the overpass into the Mammoth Cave National Park. The town itself is great for families to bicycle. Many experienced bicyclists take the trail every weekend, but it is not a flat rail-trail. The trail is easier from Park City up to Diamond Caverns. After that, there are steeper grades. There is an easy section I like from the first parking area after the left turn- it is very easy there until Sloan’s pond.
