A royal residence in the Topčidet. It was originally used as the palace of Prince Miloš Obrenović. It was built in 1831, after Serbia was given autonomous status in the Ottoman Empire.
The residence of Prince Milos(leader of the first Serbian uprising against Turks in 1812 th), built in 1831, is located in the beautiful surroundings of Topcider Park. At first, the prince and his family lived in the city center, not far from Kalemegdan. However, due to the proximity of the Turks who still held the fort under siege, Milos Obrenovic has decided to move a little further from the city center. His wife and children remained in the city, in a house that is now known as the Princess Ljubica and serves as a museum.Prince's residence was built in the Ottoman style, and it was only the third house which Serbs raised in Belgrade.
