A very scenic local state park that has a beach on Deep Creek Lake, and also is the most common put in location for boats and kayaks. It also has a small trail system for some easy hiking, but most people enjoy this park for the lake access.

Deep Creek Lake State Park offers a small beach area, playground and basketball hoop for a small entrance fee.

Drive 10 mins south of our cabin to DCL state park for Motor boating/rent a Pontoon boat, swimming, fishing, and canoeing, 112 campsites, hiking trails for every level of ability, and mountain biking. All available for your choice of adventure or relaxation.

Enjoy some hiking trails or just relax the day away at the park beach, where you can take a swim or grill some food at the picnic areas. If you have a boat there is a boat launch ramp you can use for just $10 dollars or use your Maryland state park pass, if you own one. We visit the park at least twice a week to walk around and let our dog take a swim. I think you will love the park as much as we do.
