"The town clock" building- old post office building - historical local architecture- opposite the Town library. Quaint!
Considered a landmark of Launceston, the Post Office was built between 1886 and 1889 in the decorative Queen Anne architectural style. Completed in 1906, the installation of the clock was finished just in time to celebrate the centenary of the founding of Launceston. Here, you'll also find the Visitor Information Centre, open weekdays from 9am-5pm and weekends and public holidays from 9am-1pm.
