Albufeira Municipal Archaeological Museum is a small Museum located on the cliff of the Old Town, overlooking Peneco's beach and the Fisherman´s beach. The museum contains a mix of archaeological exhibits found in the Algarve: Roman, Visigothic and Moorish.
Located in the old part of the city, in the Praça da República, the Municipal Archaeological Museum is divided into four historical sections according to the following periods: Pre-History, Roman, Visigoth-Islamic and Modern Age. It occupies the old City Hall premises and, in addition to the permanent archaeological exhibition, it also offers its visitors temporary exhibitions and provides guided tours to the old city center.
