A 328 acre state park in Wilmington;s northern suburbs. Walking and jogging are popular activities any time of the year.
A great place to take a crisp November walk around the pond or to have a picnic. The trees are turning lovely colors. The restrooms are still available. Amazing park. Very well maintained, plentiful parking. Nice pond for fishing, good pavilions, children’s play area, picnic tables, awesome as a wedding location and photography. All together great park
Bellevue State Park, a former DuPont estate. William Dupont Jr. (1896-1965), the estate's last owner and avid equestrian, transformed this land to include horse stables, indoor horse training facilities, and most notably a 1 ⅛ mile long horse track
Beautiful walking trails throughout this large wooded estate of Wm du Pont. Jog around the track he used to train his sulky race horses or grab a lawn chair and bring a picnic for one of the summer series free concerts. One of our favorite things about summer around here.
