You can enjoy lunch at the beautiful MoCA building even if you don't feel like visiting the galleries. And of course, there is ice-cream. For a wider variety of their ice-creams you can find the Lickety Split ice-cream shop on Spring Street in Williamstown.
This family-run cafe, located inside MASS MoCA (no need to pay admission to visit), makes their own ice cream and it is very good. They also have great lunch staples, from salads to sandwiches, and breakfast options as well.

It is one of the best dining options in North Adams today (see later in our guidebook). During the summer on Saturdays from 10:30 to 2pm Lickety Split hosts New England traditional fiddle music featuring also Irish and Quebecois tunes!
