Blow the cobwebs away in this ancient landscape. Three interlinked Neolithic stone circles, the only ones of their kind. A short walk takes you to the natural rock features of the Cheesewring. Friendly country pub close to the car park.
Park at Minions at either car Park take a walk. There are two circles of stones that are fair easy to find unless its misty!
Three late Neolithic or early Bronze Age stone circles arranged in a line; probably the best examples of ceremonial circles in the south west.
Folk-law says that villagers were playing ‘hurling’ on the Sabbath and were turned to stone as punishment! There are three standing stone circles.
