The Wellington Cable Car is a funicular railway in Wellington, New Zealand, between Lambton Quay, the main shopping street, and Kelburn, a suburb in the hills overlooking the central city, rising 120 m over a length of 612 m. The one way trip takes approximately five minutes.

A ride on the Cable Car is a must do. Great views over the city, and tunnels with flashing coloured lights - children love it! The Cable Car runs every 10 minutes until 10pm and is a quick and fun way to the Central City. You pay at the bottom. Its a 2 minute walk to the waterfront from the bottom of the cable car.

Take the kids on the cable car. Great views across Wellington at the top and an enjoyable experience.

$$ Perfect for navigating one of the steepest capital cities. A great way to see the city comfortably and get up to Kelburn.

Take the cable car from Lambton Quay to the kiosk at the top of the Botanical gardens, with outstanding views of Wellington city.
