An intermediate hiking destination with dense deciduous and coniferous woods and a network of winding, sandy trails. It's especially good for group excursion or to explore with kids: the 40-plus acres seem like just enough to accommodate a variety of loops (without having to commit to lots of mileage or a long day out).
Go for a jog, walk your dog or just a gorgeous trail to hike. If you are around the area in the fall you have to come to this place the view in the center of the park is breath taking. Pick up some sandwiches and grab a blanket and have a picnic. You wont regret it.
Probs a 10-minute drive. Winding, sandy trails on 40-plus acres. Lots of loops so it can be a quick thing or lots of mileage on a long day out. The dune-like hill in the middle is worth exploring, too!
