RAF Cosord has a wealth of historic military aircraft and vintage vehicles. Lots of the artefacts on show allow hands-on inspection, so it's a very interactive visitor centre. Loads to stimulate old/young and inbetweens. It is free to get in (apart from parking) and nearly everything is under cover. A great idea for a rainy day visit!

The RAF Museum is free to enter where you can explore aircrafts and exhibitions in the wartime hanger and even try flying in the simulator
